dealer has box of Orlite...

AR mags for $3 each. Are they junk or worth buying some? They are 30rd mgs in used but decent condition. Don;t have my AR yet but wouldn;t mind grabbing some mags if they will work. My eventual AR will be a Rock River CAR4.

    I can't tell you what their quality is, as I have not used them. What I can tell you is that for $3 a mag it can't hurt, depending on what you will use your AR for. What I mean is that even a couple mags that malfunction would be a great asset for malfunction drills. For $3 I would say go for it. If the lips aren't worn or bent, you could always replace the internal parts for better reliability at a minimal price.

    ..Among my hodgepodge of mags are a couple Orlites. I was leery of them and they just feel "weird", but they function perfectly. At that price, I'd grab some. Heck, I have fifty HK-91 mags, but not an HK or Cetme. For $1 each, new in the wrapper, why not?

    Orlites are Israeli made, every one I have tried work fine. Thermolds are Canadian and they jokingly call them Thermelts, as the feedlips will melt in a really hot M-4.
