RULES ON GIVE-AWAYS...

If a person wins a give-away, no matter how insignificant, how long is a proper waiting period before publishing the GIVER as a DEAD-BEAT?

    I still have that list!! 99.5 sent the gift with no problem. A few didn't send at all and a couple changed their handles on GB!! We tried to shame them into honoring their pledge to no avail. BTW some sent pure tore up junk. After the big uproar was over they had an other one. The winner of that one was one of the people that gave me grief so I boxed up the junk that I got and sent it to him! [:D] One guy pledged a leather range bag but what I got was something that looked like a purse that was tore all to hell and he took a stapler and stapled the hell out of it! If you were to run your hand in it you would look like a wild cat got your hand. I will enter a single giveaway but never a mass one again. If i can ever retire I plan on having a lot of give a ways, from tools to guns.

    Not a red cent, and of course i can. It's just no matter how insignificant,when i post a give-away, i by god send it out the day after i pick a winner. Sometimes sooner.[:D]

    Maybe they read your post where you carried six rounds in your five shot revolver and were afraid to send it to you fearing you may hurt yourself!!!!

    After this post, I wouldn't send it to you come hell or high water !!

    This thread is one of several reasons why after the first one I stopped involving myself in "give-aways." Too many misunderstandings and arguments arise.

    You are right Saxon. I feel though after winning some very nice things on here I owe the members. So when I get the time I will start a few give aways to help pay them back.

When I read your post you had 8233 total posts with an average of 10.98 posts per day, and if you include the month you joined and the current month in the equation you have been on the forum 26 months. Therefore, without rounding the value of the square root or average posts per day I calculated your giveaway grace period to be 5.895799676 days. However, I'm retired and no longer work as an engineer and combined with the fact that my slide rule is probably warped; as far as I'm concerned you were close enough for government work! [8D]

    Ok then. I relinquish any said give-away, that i won, from anyone, from being carried out.

    BTW He Dog, i don't think the sight-paint was even a give-away. I expressed an interest in the stuff, and you just offered to send it.
    Like i said before. It worked great for me.

    Well to date...
    I have received everything that I won...
    I have delivered everything that I have given away save one item, I never received shipping info!! I've had probably a dozen giveaways...
    I have a gut felling that a few that enter have had second thoughts about giving out personal info after that fact sets home...

    I think that if you enter a giveaway it would be very courteous to go back and see if you were the winner as some peoples contact info doesn't seem to be up to date~~~~!!

    I not sure that a few basic giveawy rules might not be in order!!!

    I even suggest rule one...
    If you hitch a ride on someone else's giveaway don't try and change his freaking rules!!!
