hey guys and gals
anyone know how to bypass the neutral safety switch on a mule 550 [B)][:D]

    heck if I know [}:)] its a friends and he was told that it has a neutral swith so it wont start unless its in neutral and now it has a short and wont start at all unless you cross the starter cyc. with a screwdriver hes had the starter checked and its all good [?][?]

    There should probably be a little switch either attatched to the shifter or transmission that will have one or two wires coming off of it. If you can find that then you can proceed based on what it looks like.

    Look where the shifter linkage goes into the trans. that's where you will find it. Just like a car. Either replace the switch,(wich i would do)or tie the 2 leads together, and she should fire right up.[;)]
    If it's "torque-converter" controlled,it'll be on the "gear selector".

    Ok, Your going to need a Volt meter, Conitinueity checker, and a wiring diagram( the more detailed the better).

    Finding the switch should be easy enough. Bypassing it, depending on the circuit it makes, Might be a different story.
