New Toys
I sold my house so I decided to invest in some new guns with a little of the profit from the house. I picked up a few new toys today---HK P30L (NIB), HK P2000sk LEM 40cal (NIB), and a HK VP70 IA code 1980 production. I should be getting my like new Colt Python 4"in the next few days, and have to wait about 10 weeks for my RRA AR to come in.

Got me some new toys this last couple weeks. most recent was a Smith/Wesson New Departure, in .32 SW, dates to about 1919, in pristine unfired condition, even has the box and the little vial of 3 in 1 oil that came with it. next was a Remington 521T, junior special, nearly perfect condition with only the slightest handling marks. shoots like a champ! Also a Detective Special, circa 1974, in box and looks unfired, and lastly a 1st series Woodsman, with box and original receipt, looks as new, not a mark on it, all bluing is perfect. Now im broke for the next few months. 0 -

The girlfriend and I were shopping for furniture for our new place and I found a couple of things I just had to have. The first is a Philco phonograph/AM radio/Aviation channel console from 1954. The other is a General Electric phonograph/AM/FM stereo, best guess is late 60's to early 70's. Neither of the turn table work but with a little cleaning, both tuners will work. The Philco's model is B1750 and the best I can tell, the GE is a RC4321.
I plan on getting everything working right on both of them and refinishing the wood on the Philco. The Philco is also a tube radio, how sweet is that? I paid $50 each for them.
I'm also thinking about setting up some sort of headphone jack on the GE so I can run an MP3 player through it.0 -

so i send my dad to go look at a used uberti sharps for my deployment present to myself, and he walks out with that, an 1866 henry, two SA revolvers and a replica walker colt. Let's hear it for power of attorney. [:D] I'll try to get some pictures up when I can. Not crazy about the wood on the sharps. Anybody know if I can buy a nicer stock from uberti or whoever imports them? Try to get a range report when I get back to the states.

Is that a Predator (20") or Varminter (24")? Either way nice rifle, I have had a Varminter for a while now that I set up with the ACE stock too. They are a great shooting gun have you had a chance to shoot it?
The only thing I would do to yours is up grade the grip. I know the Houge is popular but it does not fill my hand up right. Ergo grips are the way to go as they move your hand back to the right spot to have just your finger tip on the trigger.0 -

15-16 years or so ago, when I first started building my own AR's ... I used mostly Bushmaster receivers because next to Colt they had the best finish & quality available ... I used to paint the snake red and color the safe and fire the same way ... I've never seen another marked that way!
Back in the day, my income fluctuated quite a bit ... occasionally I'd need to come up with some extra cash to make child support or something, so I'd sell my shooter and build another a month or so later when cash freed up again.0 -

Thank you, I am very pleased and even more anxious to go burn some powder! The glass is temporary I borrowed it from my .22 mag. I'll probably top it off with a Nikon Monarch or similar.

Here is mine. I went with an IOR 4-14x50 with MP-8 "dot" reticle for mine. I had a cheepie scope on it for a while but finally got some good glass for it this year. I had to add a GGG riser to get mine far enough forward for me. I know I said Ergo grip and that is not what is in the pic. This grip is a Samco G27 grip, while I do not like it as much as the Ergo it is not worth changing and it servers the same roll (look at the back where the web of your hand goes.
It looks like you have a really tall bipod. I like the Harris "L" bipods and with those you can not use a 30rd mag with out it hitting the ground. All I run in mine are 20's and I have a Redi Mag which I really like on this gun.0 -
As you can see my scope is maxxed out forward too. Its a Harris bipod model 25 series 1A2 it adjusts and locks in at any length from 13" to 27". At 13 in the prone I have no problems witha 30 round mag. 0 -

I have the Bushy Predator as well. I changed out the A2 stock for the Magpul PRS...very nice and adjustable.
For glass, I went with the Bushnell Dusk to Dawn 4-12 with Adjustable Objective. I really like that scope.
