Tactical guys, police officers, etc....

I'm sitting here at work, surfin the net for tactical gear.

What equipment do you use? Sights, lights, tactical vests/belts?

Kinda trying to get an idea on what to order for this new venture I've become a part of.

I've decided on of the these two rifles...

Bushy M4A3
or
Bushy Carbon 15 model 4

I am looking at Burris optics, either the fast fire or the speeddot.

Fastfire
XTS 235 Speed Dot similar to Aimpoint

As far as vests go, I'm not sure if I want to go with the all-out vests, or more of a light tactical vest.

    What is this new "venture" that you speak of? Why on earth would a person wear tha MIL/LEO gear if they did not need to do so?

    I am so tactical I could just plotz. I have seven ballistic nylon leg holsters, each with a day of the week stitched into it. I have both pixelated and non-pixelated Kevlar underwear. I have a Peltor for each ear, and a voice mike that makes me sound just like Sam Elliot in those Coors commercials. I alternate between Danner "Go-Devils" and Rocky "King Cop" Vibrams, and my rappelling rope vest fasteners have wings for those heavy flow days. And of course a beret, with both muted and parade flashes for any mood or imagined hostage situation I may encounter on my way to work at Circuit City.

    I knew you would reply and, somewhere in there, would be "heavy flow day". I'm suprised you couldn't fit "lip sync'n to Cher tunes" in there somewhere. You're slippin old man.

    Not when I'm tactical, you silly goose. I must maintain my stealthiness. I am so radical about my tacticalness. Even my Hyundai Sonata has an Eotech.

    Really? Last I checked, our combat troops weren't dressed in black. Black is the color of mall ninjas and wannabe soldier cops. The term "tactical" has been so over-used that I shy away from any merchandise so labeled.
