What's our best option.

I mean realisticly, Who is our best bet for president. I know there are candidates out there that are the "perfect second amendment supporters", but they don't stand a chance of getting elected. I've thrown my vote away in the past by voting for a third party candidate. Remember old Ross? Thats how Clinton ended up in the white house.

But of the front runners, who is the most gun friedly?

    Unfortunately IMO there are no front runners who are gun friendly.

    We know that the Dems are anti-gun.
    Hillary would sign into law a lifetime ban on certain guns within the first 100 days. Her cronies in congress are just waiting to get a Dem in the White House.

    Obama...sorry. He was on the board of directors for the Joyce Foundation from 1998-2001. They have given $12 million to gun control groups. Plus this http://www.ontheissues.org/Domestic/Barack_Obama_Gun_Control.htm

    Edwards is wishy washy at best. Says he understands hunting but supports banning "assault weapons".

    Republican side:

    Guiliani: says he supports the 2A but...he brought lawsuits against dealers and manufacturers (some still pending), supports registration, supports banning of non sporting firearms. He is the most likely person to get the Repub nod for the ticket.

    Romney...well he is as two faced as Kerry. He says he supports the 2A wholey, but wants to restrict the "lethal" firearms. He is no friend of ours.

    Huckabee...very pro 2A. Unfortunately will never get enough support to get the ticket

    Thompson...pro 2A. Is a "also ran" at this point. Not enough money or public exposure to get the nod.

    Paul...appears pro 2A. Like Thompson..."also ran". Will not get the nod either.

    So...IMHO...we are screwed no matter who gets in there. Guiliani will go along with a new ban. Romney also stated that he would do like Bush said and sign it if it came to his desk as president (yeah Bush pissed me off on that one too).

    It appears there is no one out there who has a snowballs chance in hell of getting into the Oval Office that will say NO to the gun grabbers on the hill.
