    In Desert Storm an assinine Leuitenant got his name scratched onto some ammo and was casually dropped here and there.He straightened up rather quickly[^]!!

    what a fantastic ideal, putting them on guns has really done allot for our safety, can you just imagine the crime rate if guns had no serial numbers?

    i guess tagements in gunpowder has not proven effective enough{for those that don't know what that is, there is micro glass beads in gunpowder identifying it}

    i went to the pistol club yesaterday and that very subject came up...apparently some idiot is trying to get a serial number put on EACH[/b]individual round of pistol ammunition!! i thought it was a joke, but no, someone has seriously proposed that as law!!...i dont think they understand how many rounds of .22 are fired through pistols here every week, let alone rounds from centrefire pistols!!
    what sort of total idiots do we allow to live in my country? i ask you!!...my god, i hope we have a revolution soon!!!...when i was in the army, and then for the last of my service, the sas it was often discussed what we would do if civil war broke out here...which side would we take?
    95 out of 100 of us said we would side with the people against the government!
    my country needs a revolution, if it is bloodless, all the better, but if it means civil war then so be it !!
    people here are sick and tired of loosing our rights!!
    we are sick and tired of being told that things that were a right are now a privelage that we must ask permission to do and pay for!!

    a well organised coup would do well here...our sas are trained to the same standard that our ordinary infantry were trained to a few short years ago...it is a joke how our infantry are trained now!!...we are a small popu;lation here....22 milion...therefore we only have a small defence force, the best training in the world made our army very good....not now!! it is a joke!!
    all i can say is ....ROLL ON THE REVOLUTION!!!!...BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

    Well, putting a SN on each bullet would take care of ONE problem- the unemployed engravers in this country! Since ONE maker of 22 ammo makes over 100,000 cartridges a DAY- the 22 market ALONE would keep a lot of folks employed- doing MICROENGRAVING! Now, if we extend that concept to #6 birdshot, with a teeny tiny little SN on each PELLET..... [:p] Ref: Taggants- we tried that with explosives. Results were the blowing up of one dynamite factory- seems the tagants were not compatible with nitroglycerine. OOOPPPPSS! SOR-REE !
