Since last summer I have bought 7 Craftsman cast iron top table saws.I recently bought 5 Briggs & Stratton horizonal small gas engines.I just like old American made machines.

I have thought about it just for fun. I once owned a 1898 ACME table saw that ran off a hit and miss engine.It used a 4 inch flat leather belt.I gave that saw to a friend of mine in 1981 and he still has it out in one of his barns.He owns a old wrecking yard full of old cars,old trucks,tractors,windmills,hit and miss engines,slot machines,fire trucks,retired fighting chickens and much more.

The metal straps are used on model A's,not model T's.Model T's use wires that go to 4 coils because T's don't have a distributor.Model A's have a distributor with a weird distributer cap with the metal straps.

I probabally found it in the trash and will keep it for another decade or so and never use it either0 -
Obviously the owner (man) is not on the premises - he wouldn't allow these treasures to get away..
