An ethnic or a female?
If this topic should be banished to the "Politics" forum, let me know, and I will do so, but as I never go there, I wanted to post it on this forum.
Obama and Hillary notwithstanding, what do you think we will see first, a female president, or an "ethnic" president?
Personally, I would be extrememly surprised if either were elected next year, but in the future, I tend to think that a woman will be elected first.

Sure a female would win before an ethnic. I learned this on Little House on the Prarie. Put up 1 feamle and a couple of men. The majority of the men will for the 2 males and the majority of the women will vote for the female. 0 -

Obviously, there are some people who will be biased for or against any candidate. Historically, no president was ever elected who didn't carry the white male vote. So who are white males more likely to support?0 -

If the US version of Maggie Thatcher ran I'd vote for her.
If a smart conservative black politician ran I'd vote for him.
I won't vote for Hillary or Obama. They don't meet the conservative criteria.
That said if I had to have one of them forced on me I'd rather it be Obama- anybody but Hillary. I'd sooner see Lenin than Hillary- at least he openly stated he was for Communism.0 -
