    I have had one for about 3 years now.... works just as goo as any of the other low-midrange scopes. Made in China, but then again so are almost all scopes under 150 dollars.

    I'll soon be replacing the 6.5-20x50 on my 243 with a Burris Signature. Holds a zero well. It's killed Coyotes out past 400.

    The Barska line used to be imported from Russia. I have a 3X9X40 with the circle-X reticle and it is very clear. The Russian made Barska is probably the clearest of the "Cheap" scopes out there. The binoculars are very clear as well. You get what you pay for.

    I also have a 3-12x50IR on my 17HMR. I would not hesitate to buy another of these for another rimfire. VERY Clear and hold a zero well after banging it around.

    That setup puts out dime size groups at 100yds.

    The 6.5-20 I mentioned earlier is bright but the crosshairs and clarity leave a little to be desire.

    I have their Swat Tactical on a heavy 30:06 Mauser. It is quite good. Optics Planet sells them direct and on ebay. It has some good features...my expert shooter - gunsmith has been equipment custom rifles with them and he led me onto buying mine.

    ( I did have a pair of hi-power 20x binocs from them with no field of view, I had expected to use them like a spotting scope...I gave them away. )

    am a real believer in some of Barska's products! I own two of the 8x-32x SWATs and love them. One atop my Mod. 70 Stealth II in 308Win and another atop my Rem. 700 in 7mm Rem.Mag.. I really like this scope especially for the price. The glass is nice and clear, light transmission is great and they really take a beating! And I'm not talking a beating from recoil, I am talking I dropped the damn Mod.70 out of the barn loft one day shootin coyotes and it never shifted zero and still performs flawlessly. I got mine through Wal-Mart.com for $244 a piece shipped to the door. The rings are junk that come with it, but secured to a Warne one-piece base with Leopould Permanent Mount Rings it has not went anywhere. My only beef with it was the 1/8MOA adjustment, not bad for out to 500yds, but I had to do some shimming to hit the 1000yd mark. I have been wanting to try out one of the Tactical models but haven't had the chance. I also have one of the Barska BlackHawk spotting scopes and it is worth a whole lot more than $100 in my opinion. In my opinion it is well worht the money for a mil-dot scope, ofcourse I still love my Mark4s better but I can't tell much of a difference until you get to the real low light situations.

    I however am a little weary on their lower cost ones. I haven't had any but know a few people that have. Most of them have had great luck out of them, but like the other low end scopes, sometimes you get a lemon.

    One friend of mine has an 8X24 on his .223 and it's adequate.

    He spent under $250 for an NEF Ultra-Something-Or-Another and less than $150 on the scope if I remember correctly. So for the purpose of fielding the least expensive prairie dogger that he could reasonably rely on, I think he came out okay. He probably only hunts a couple of dozen times a year.

    Another old time varmint hunter once told me "Ya cain't overspend on glass." He always used Leupolds, sometimes on some raggedy-assed old guns. And it was a rare thing to see him miss.

    It's ok. Not good in low light, but I have a 3.5-10X50mm Nikon for that
    No complaints. Price was good from there.

    I might. I'll be buying a CZ 452 in 22mag and topping it with either a Burris Signature, Zeiss Conquest, or Nikon Monarch. I haven't decided which one yet. After that I'll be replacing that Barska. I am really happy with it, but don't like that target dot reticle.
