I did something dumb.

In the last week I have been pulled over three times in my car. This is an impressive feat because I have spent five of the last seven days in Colorado in a rental car.

I have been getting pulled over for a taillight that is apparently out.

Once on the way to the airport, once on the way home from the airport. And once again that night when I ran out to grab a few things. So today comes along and at the top of my list: New taillight bulbs!

I wash my car, and hit the autoparts store. Pull the bulbs, and lucky me, they are stamped in German as to thier part number or type.

I grab a few that appear to be the equivelant (KNOWING BETTER!) put the new bulbs in, turn the car and and go check out my handy work.

I blew a fuse somewhere. The windows won't roll down, the trunk won't lock, and the interior lights (not dashlights) won't turn on.

So tomorrow I guess I have no choice but to buy lightbulbs from the dealer, and a new fuse of some sort while I am there.

    Good luck with that. Tomorrow is Sunday. No dealerships are open on Sunday.

    oh i can top that too

    i was pulled over for speeding 9 over going with the flow of traffic whilest i was in the slow lane then in the same 2 hrs i was pulled over again for expired tags of 6 days

    What kind of car? The autoparts store couldn't look up the P/N on the computer?
