Serious question about AWB

If a Dim gets in, what does everything think of an all weapons ban going through or at least all the "black" guns? I have been thinking about getting a Colt AR for awhile and thinking I better get it in 2008. If I buy a couple of lowers, this counts as the actual "gun" right?

    Well as CA & NY go so, goes the country. I got mine at the 11th hour before the ban here in CA. I can legally buy all the uppers I want! But without my lower, well you get the picture.[:)]

    I don't know but the day after the Dem's took control of Congress in the last election (2006) I went and bought a RRA AR. I'm sure as long as the left keeps control of Congress and a Dem get's in the White House they will ban SOMETHING. I doubt they would go for an all out ban but probably bring back that McCarthy bill. I don't think they learned their lesson from '94.
