OOPS! Found another one!

I just went out to the workbench and found my Mark X .300 Win. mag.DSC00469.jpg

I had to pull the cork on the Wathen's when I passed by. It's all buschmaster's fault.

    That's the one my brother-in-law calls "The Machine". If it barks he knows that who ever was using it needs help dragging.

    Are the whitetails that BIG in SC that you use a 300 win mag?...I have a 243 mark x love the Mauser action,..did yours come with the synthetic..mines wood...[:D]..Loko

    I used to be able to say I never miss. I can't say that anymore. The year I missed 5 deer with that rifle I found a small crack in the stock right behind the tang. Recoil made its mark on the wood. I found a Butler Creek synthetic stock at a gun show at Jamil Temple for $40. Great stock. LOKO, they aren't that big, but I hate to track deer. Honestly, I have never really messed up a deer with anything other than a .308. I blew the whole right shoulder off of a deer with it. I actually shot an 8 point in 1990 in the neck at 40 feet and he never even blinked. He just hit the ground. Entrance wound the size of a dime. Exit wound the size of a quarter. Even at 200 yards there's very little meat dessimated. I have shot small ones in the head to preserve meat, but no real need, although I have cut the horns off with a pocketknife after that.
