Rem 700

When i was at the walmart picking up prescriptions, when that idiot lady made the hillary comment, i stopped at the Gun desk. I hate walmarts gun desk, everything is soo far back from the counter, you cant look at them, and all the ammo is behind the desk so you have to ask them about each caliber, what they have, how much it is, etc...

Anyways, i thought i saw a rem 700 for 549.00 Maybe 30-06, but wasnt sure as i didnt want to ask the lady, just wanted to browse. Are there brand new Rem 700s for 549 or was i mistaken?

    Went back to the Wallyword to see if there was a different guy at the gun counter. There was! I asked about the REM 700 i tlaked about in the previous post. Its a synthetic stock, 30-06, with a bushnell scope, 349 for it. He also had a 700 with a wooden stock, no scope for 559. Im thinking about maybe getting the one with the scope later this month or next month.

    I hate to point this out, but there are several on the auction side.
    Search "Remington 700 new". Our Walmart has two Weatherby's, one 7mm mag and 1 300 mag. black stocks, for $400. If they come another $25, I think I'll buy the 300 mag.

    FrancF, imnot really sure, didnt get a cose look at it, the older lady behind the counter seemed soo pissed off when i asked her how much .308 was, and then got an attitutde when i asked her about brass cased 7.62x39, i didnt want to ask her anything more at all.

    Me too! I dont even own a .308, i was looking at buying maybe 40-60 rounds for a giveaway here.

    It may have been a Remington 700 SPS. I bought a brand new 700 SPS Varmint(heavy barrel, beavertail stock) for $570 when they first come out. I also have a Remington 700 SPS "Dangerous Game" rifle chambered in .375 H&H that was $599 brand new. Nice guns for the money IMO.
