The Three Strings

Three strings were traveling down the road one day when they decided to stop at a bar for a beer. As they pulled up to the door, they noticed a sign that said:
"WE DON'T SERVE STRINGS"
The strings were thirsty and it was the only bar they had seen, so the first string decided to go in and see if he could get three beers to go. When he walked up and asked for the beer, the bartender said, "Buddy, didn't you see the sign out front?". Dejected, the string went back to the car empty handed. "I've got an idea" said one of the other strings. He commenced to tossle his ends and twist himself up. He walked into the bar and asked for three beers. The bartender said: "I'm going to tell you like I told your friend, WE DON'T SERVE STRINGS. Didn't you see the sign out front?"
The string said to the bartender:
