chrome question...truck related

kinda like the looks of semis with the big diameter stacks so was looking to see what they cost to put them on my semi....holy crap....from 2000.00 on up.....it can't cost that much to chrome plate an 8" steel pipe 8 feet long can it?

    best bet would be to find someone who works in a metal fabrication factory and see if they could do it for you. only problem is if they dont ask permission first you might not ever see them again. so be sure and have them ask first.

    stainless would probably be less.

    The part under the heat shield doesn't have to be chrome.

    drjew i would put straights on like these with bull hauler turn outs but stright with miter cut would be alot easier to make.

    That's purty right there. Get your pipes bent at a local muffler shop and then take them to a plater.

    the pipe alone cost a small fortune.
    A friend has a nice truck, he had to replace his pipes.
    He gave me his old pipes for my bar b q. looks great.
    I'll get a photo.
