Illegal To Serve Fat People
It has actually happened. Lawmakers have proposed legislation that forbids restaurants and food establishments from serving food to anyone who is obese (as defined by the State). Under this bill, food establishments are to be monitored for compliance under the State Department of Health and violators will have their business permits revoked.
This is House bill 282 in the state of Mississippi where 30% of residents are obese. What is this country coming to?

Should this pass, scales will appear at the door of restaurants, people with BMIs of 30 or higher won't be allowed to be served. And to comply with government regulations, restaurants will have to keep records of patrons' BMIs.

what's your stance on private insurance rates?
apart from the old man's BP meds my family only really needs health insurance in case someone gets in an accident. We don't use even a fraction of what we pay in. We are pretty much paying for folks like a former coworker of mine: big as a whale, diabetic, she continues to drink sugary soft drinks and eat fatty foods [xx(]
BTW. If I can be charged more for auto insurance, being a young male (which makes no sense to me, since when I see lousy driving its usually a chick in an SUV way too big for her skills, blabbing on a cell), people with high-risk health issues can pay more for health insurance!0 -

What's your point. I went through the same thing when I was younger with my Camaro yet I've never gotten in a wreck and have only gotten 1 speeding ticket.

Insurance and all financial instutions are part of the socialization of culture. It is one of the great equalizers. Allowing for the very large middle class. Take a little from all those with fair to good luck and give it to those with bad or worse luck. Banks or the markets take your savings and loan it to others and split the interest with you but sometimes they cover the losses if things go bad.
These institutions have caused a great increase in the amount of personal property the middle class can accumulate and increased the average life expectancy. They have also diluted the sense of personal responsibility and personal freedom we enjoy.
Many young people see freedom as the lack of effective law enforcement.0 -

i love fat gals waddling thru the mall wearing spandex with an ass in front while carrying a diet coke & chips... these people also worship the gods of sweat pants & handicap parking...have one of these (guy) here that parks his car RIGHT in the front door of the grocery store or quik shop, waddles in wearing sweat pants with a T shirt exposing a 10.00x20 around the middle, loads up on chips, slim jims, & diet drink....i have now frosted the lens in two pair of glasses by glancing looking in that direction....so i am politically & socially incorrect....bite me 0
