6.5 mm Remington Magnum

What do you guys think about this cartridge? Never really looked into it until recently. I seen a Remington 673 at Gander Mountain chambered in this cartridge today. Beautiful rifle IMO(I used to have one in a .350 Remington Magnum, but got rid of it because I needed the money at the time) and I do need a new medium sized hunting rifle. Waht you think? Or, would I be better off going my original route and getting something like a 25-06, .270, or something in that range? I am basically looking for something that shoots flat, that I can take out West hunting with me or use in open fields here in WI.
