we got hogs

heres a pic of me and dad with the sow he shot last weekend
204 yard with my winchester 243 I dont think hes ever shot anything that far off lol perfect long shot.

    I figured you needed a lung shot to kill a piggie at that range with a .243
    At any rate good shot! I used to slay them in the swamps of central Georgia.
    Put the mesquite in the smoker on Sunday morning, put a ham or shoulder in there, and get ready for a great football party!

    the 243 he was using was sited in at 200 yards with a 6x18x42 scope
    its a tack driver

    Good for the old feller. My pop with turn 70 in June and has not done any hunting in probably 20 years, but he did a fair amount when he was younger.
    He has been working on his retirement home out in the country, but I am hoping to get him to do some hunting with me next year. Lord willing, for as many years that he can after that.

    we go as much as we can togather I put up a few box blinds so he dont have to climb and does not get as cold unless he forgets the heater [:0][:D]

    Did I read somewhere that the meat not be eaten on account of some parasite?
