Making candles

Mossbergboogie
So far i only have two done, and i think ill quit while I am ahead. Wait and see how these two turn out.

I melted down a bunch of left overs from other candles firgured why let it go to waste.

Should be interesting.

    Friend of mine does it for her living - she travels the country hitting various Renniassance Fests and selling.

    One warning - take a good look at your work area, it will never be wax free again....

    Other halfs pans eh? No worries there. It is a pretty simple clean up not too bad.

    I use a large food warmer to both melt the wax and keep it liquid.

    I should maybe just invest in a hot plate then you dont need to worry about a wick period.

    we used to make them when i was a kid, neatest one i made was in a 7up-uncola glass, fill it with ice cubes then pour in the wax, the ice melts and it looks like a soda with ice when your done

    I started candle making this past fall. It's a lot of fun mixing colors and fragrances. I just bought 10 round 4 inch molds and am going into commercial production. People think the Wal-Mart candles are boring so I'm going to put some excitement into them. [:D]
