any thoughts on this 91/30 snipers or k98 snipers.
I am in the market for a 91/30 mosin nagant sniper. Have any of you guys ever dealt with this company? What is the quality like and is it true that these original part 91/30 snipers are drying up?

I would say that yes those are sniper rifles. However I would bet the scope and gun numbers DON'T match. If thats important to you anyway. A matching sniper 91/30 will cost you 700 plus when you can find them.
Buy this one if you want a sniper configuration.

I just bought one its not classified as the sniper rifle which means it isn't drilled for the scope. but I got a shooting tree thats 250 yds from my house, and after I got some ammo I went out and popped the tree 5 straight shots so I know that with just the sights its not to bad a gun.
I was actually suprised that I hit it I was exspecting much less.
Once it gets warmer I'll put up some targets and get it sighted in with a scope.
I paid just under $200 for the rifle including ffl fee's.0 -

gitrdone: They won't let you come look at the stuff in person. If you dig around on that web site [God help you if you are on a dial up like me] you will see their policy, "No Retail Counter Sales, Internet Only."
The only exception they have is, you can buy something off the internet, and they have a guy who is an FFL who lives right nearby, and he will go pick up your stuff, and you can go to his shop and pick it up. Would save on shipping if you lived nearby, especially if you were buying some spam cans of ammo.0 -

I just checked with my guys on another forum. These guys are real milsurp die hards and quite a few of the members have recently bought rifles from Classic Arms. They give this company two thumbs up. Accurate description of the rifles and fast shipping.

I have bought a number of guns from Classic, good people.
As for these repro snipers the Nagant is a good buy as a shooter. The longer barrel had an edge over the Mauser on range, as the Germans stated in their analysis..
There was actually a plan to build a German sniper only rifle using the 98 action a longer barrel in 7X64 but it never materialized.
As for their Classic $1300.00 K98k Repo please note that these were late war built on BCD 4 (Gustloff Werke 1944) receivers.
That is the Long Side Rail (LSR) snipers being BCD 4 (Actually JP Sauer & Sohn did the development work and a very few were made by them in late 43 but almost all produced were BCD 4 code in 1944-45)
So, if you want a reasonable repro insist it be made on a BCD 4 and nothing else and it must have a cupped butt plate stock.
These are being built by Classic with Russian capture mismatched K98ks selected for their bore quality. Expect hunting accuracy and not modern sniping guns as a comparison.
One wanting a repo variation (Claw mounts, Turret, SSR etc should ask on Mauser forums for help before spending good money on something that duplicates nothing.
