    I'm going to say that it'll hit $5,000. That is a pretty neat package with all the trimmings, plus you get a one off custom rifle in the process.

    With the right wood and engraving the rifle could be worth $2000, a nice vacation with food, loging, etc would run around 2 to 3 grand, you might just break even[;)]

    Actually Marlin is located in North Haven, CT. Visible from I-91 as you drive North. You'd probably be landing at Bradley International (KBDL). Erroneously called Hartford-Springfield to the airlines ticket agents.

    Rent a car at BDL, then you can go to Mohegan Sun casino, or Mystic Seaport, or on a fall foliage tour (late October) or a tour of the old Colt factory, and if they have it, just down the road from Marlin is the old Winchester (in New Haven). Or S&W up in Springfield, or the US Springfield armory museum. Just a thought.

    If you win, (will you continue to bid?) make the most of your trip. Book lodging for a little longer than the itenerary allows. Best, Joe

    Last time I flew into hartford we ran into a little casino up there called Foxwood. That Marlin could wind up costing someone hundreds of thousands.[:D]
