    I was actually surprised to learn that in all its history, the Club had never selected a beagle. Beagles are great dogs, super friendly and smart.

    Of course, I have an English Springer Spaniel that could kick any beagle's @$$ if he wasn't afraid of his own shadow... [:p]

    I watched part of the show. It tears my heart out to see those fine dogs of the sporting class all "pimped up".

    I hope a real dog, like a basenji never wins. We need to keep their popularity down, because while they are the best dog, it takes a special kind of owner to raise one, and they are few and far between.

    I pick up a bunch of them, and if you want a pup, or if you want an adult that is good with kids, and housetrained...well, I get a little say in where the rescues go.
