Silver's hovering around $17/oz. right now. Gold is in and around $900/oz.
With silver predicted to go up to $30 an ounce within the next couple of years and gold only predicted to go up to about $1000, silver is a much wiser investment at this point in time.0 -

Where is the best place to buy silver without getting raked over the coals. It seems like those that advertise for precious metals and coins and the like are the worst (most expensive) places to buy from. I don't have a lot of money to invest, but I would like to start buying small amounts to set aside. Can anyone recommend someplace to start?

Yes, where to buy. Should I have to pay sales tax. I have half a dozen silver eagles and a few other silver coins but would like to get more.
Lead is not a good investment as I hear it is going to drop in the next year, there was just a temporary supply crunch and supply is catching back up.
I have a few hundred pounds of brass and can't find a buyer0 -
