I just love a happy ending.
FOUNTAIN - A homeowner turned the odds on two men who he says kicked open his front door claiming they were police.
Cody Buckler says around 11:30 Monday night, two men kicked open his door while carrying semi-automatic pistols.
Buckler says they yelled they were with Fountain Police. He was home with his fianc?e and two of his children at the time.
When he came downstairs, he saw the two men and then went to his bedroom and grabbed his gun.
One of the two men then held Buckler's 16-year-old son at gunpoint.
"He had a gun and he pointed at me and he said, 'Put your hands up, Don't move.' So I put my hands up. I didn't know what else to do," said Jesse Robinson, Buckler's son.
That is when Buckler took matters into his own hands.
"One guy was trying to exit my house with a flat screen TV. I shot him. I guess I got him in the arm. There was another one coming up the stairs. I shot at him, I think I missed him," said Buckler.
Buckler says the second man dove head-first through a double-pane window in his basement.
Fountain Police followed a blood trail to where it appeared the two men got into a getaway car.
The men were later reportedly found at the hospital.
