Having a daughter. What gun to buy?
We're having a daughter in June. She'll be our first daughter. We already have 2 sons. I think I need to buy a TC Encore, chambered for .460S&W. I showed my wife a picture of one yesterday, and she said it looked nice. I said I was going to buy one for our daughter (not meaning to give her, but because of her). Wife said, "Whatever."
I take that "Whatever." to mean, "Go ahead, it's fine with me." Any advice?
What I'm looking for by way of advice here is "Yes, buy the gun."

I have 2 shotguns. a single shot 20 gauge for rabbits, and a mossberg 835 for everything else. I suppose a Benelli semi would be ok, but then I'd never use the mossy.0 -

If you really want a TC/pinpoint accuracy, I'd go with the 7-30 Waters, Super 14", 2 1/2x Redfield Scope. We reload the ammo, so that's not a problem, but it's a lot better than spending all that money for a pistol round gun.

Well, what I learned from daughters is that you want a gun that is chambered for rounds large enough to write a potential date's name on the bullet! With a fine point Sharpie, you can get a good sized name on a 30-06!! PS sometimes the kid's mothers failed to see the humor! 0 -
