St. Louis Reverse Discrimination
This email reply was prompted by emails going out about how KC, MO Mayor Funkhouser mentioned at a committe meeting that maybe the KC MO Police Dept. could just lower their standards in order to be able to hire minorities. Seems the dept. can't hire enough minorities because way too many of them have lengthty and serious criminal records. So, the mayor (who is white BTW) is thinking about ignoring misdemenors and felonies for select minorities in order to slip them onto the pollice dept. The below email is from a guy who was a St. Louis Cop and has seen the police and fire department from behind the scenes. Here is what he has seen:
The city of St. Louis did this in the mid 70's which led me to leave the department when I did. They only waived misdemeanors, though, but still, if someone had committed a felony and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, then guess what? They could become one of the City's finest.
Here is a better one for you and this is current. The fire department in the city of St. Louis is controlled by civil service testing. The department HAD a black chief. The department had numerous Captain and Deputy chief ranks vacant because he would not make any promotions because he felt that the tests were biased against people of color. So he refused to promote anyone and wanted the testing changed. By the way, this was already done once about 25 years ago, which is how this same guy got his first promotion and started his career up the ladder. The Fire Department gets sued and it ends up in federal court and a federal court judge last summer orders the fire chief to start making promotions and he continues to refuse. The mayor, who is white, finally demotes him to assistant chief and promotes a white guy. The black guy gets his feelings hurt and then retires. Now the blacks in the city want to recall the mayor from office.
Now, let me ask you something. Is this a great country or what? A white guy who refuses a direct order from his boss and he will be fired. A black guy refuse orders, gets disciplined, retires, and the black community calls the mayor a racist. What the duck is wrong with that picture?

I remember a stink in New York where the fire department issued two different tests for promotional qualifications,, one for the white guys and one for all the minorities, A lot of white dudes quit over it. I believe in a level playing field but not one slanted uphill for one group and slanted downhill for another..[:(] 0 -
things like this stink! maybe it needs a couple of hundred whites to take things like this to the supreme court! it seems to me that it is ok to be racist and to make racist statements if you are black, but may god have mercy on you if you are white and make a statement that may in some small way be interpreted as maybe being racist!...i dont live there but if i did i would do what i do here and that is say if in your opinion my vievs make me a racist, then so what? tough s@$t !!! they are my vievs and im entitled to them and if you or anyone else dont like it i couldnt give a damn!!and when im in a good mood i even tell them to sue me if they think they are right and im wrong!...strange, but no-one has taken up the offer yet!
ive had a gut full of minorities trying to get the majority change to suit them!!

The whole U.S.A. is out of control, bowing to the minorities.If your female and a person of color you can call the shots. I seen a few companies find a fix to this problem. They wait for a project to wind down then set up a new crew to finish the job. All the people that didn't cut it are on this crew.When the jobs done all of them get layed off.There's always certain parts of a city no one wants to work in. 0 -

i have closely watched this on the local news, and it is a pure form of racially motivated bs, blacks have totally taken over saint Louis you cannot go into a state or federal building with out reverse discrimination, and they are in force among the police
