No air machines in town to fill a tire!
Went to five different gas stations trying to find an airpump that was working, no luck. Can a car tire be inflated by using a hand pump like you would use on a bicycle? Figured I'd ask first before I go out there and give myself a heart attack pumping away!

The tire is not flat, just a little low, I am going to go buy an electric air pump to keep in the garage. I have a good bike pump that you stand on and work the piston up and down, but I think power is the way to go! Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! I know living in a small town has its disadvantages, but not being able to find an air pump is just crazy! 0 -

I agree, the place I used to work is now charging for air. People would cut the hose and steal the end of it instead of unscrewing it.
I bought a small 12 volt compressor for $20 at the auto shop, it even has an automatic cut off when you hit the correct pressure. Used it once all ready at work when one of the women had a flat tire. [8D]0 -
I couldn't live without a air compressor. I have owned one for over 10 years now, and consider it one of my best investments. 0 -
Well it is just me, but having a 15 CFM at 5,000 psi compressor, and about 8 scuba bottles, I just use a scuba bottle with a first stage to knock down the pressure from 3,000 psi to 100 psi.

i carry a 12v pump, 12v impact & tire plug kit in every vehicle...has saved the day several times & have only about $60 in each kit 0 -
i charge 50 cents a wheel for air at my shop unless your there to purchace another service then its free. i probably make about 80.00 a month just selling air its enough to pay the cable bill each month. 0
