whatta great gift...
well i mentioned earlier that a co-worker of my daughters said he had a coupel "old .22s" he would give me...tonight i got em, and WOW!
one model 1890 pre '07 from what i can make out by s.n. and a stevens falling block under lever just missing a trigger!
both are missing 90 percent of blueing but wood is in good shape and the missing trigger/spring is the only mechanical defect i can find.
couldnt believe he didnt want ANYTHING for them, even when i told him both are climbing fast in price with collecters, all he wants is a "good price" re-stocking an old H&R single 12 ga...i think he may get that done free!

Some folks are still nice - their 'niceness' just hasn't been punished, yet. They haven't learned that no good deeds go unpunished!
