Replacing a dishwasher
How difficult is it to replace a dishwasher? Ours is having some problems and I plan on purchasing a new one from Lowes. Anything difficult or complicated about it? I just replaced the kitchen faucet and also the faucet in our laundry room sink. That along with putting together some PVC sprinkler lines is the limit to my plumbing experience.
Lowes will install it for about $100 bucks so which way would you go?

should be very easy. shound only have a supply line and a drain to have to hook up. after that just adjust the legs for the hight and you are done 0 -
Should be straight forward. Kill the water to the sink, open the faucet to drain any residual. Unplug the washer, open the door and unscrew the screws holding it upright against the bottom of the countertop. Slide it out and unhook the water supply and drain lines (you will get some woter from them so have a bucket ready) from the washer or the sink end (probably best at this end).
Pull it out and take the supply/drain lines off of it and put them on the new unit and feed them through the cabinet to the sink area.
Slide the new unit in and ensure it is level and plumb all the way around. Screw the braces back into the underside of the countertop. Hook up water and drain line to the appropriate sources and plug the unit in. Turn on water supply and do a test run standing right there to ensure it doesnt leak and drains correctly.0 -
if you have all pvc it should be easy, if you have any copper lines, and have to keep them unless your good at sweating don't attempt it, 100 bucks is kinda steep for such an easy job 0 -

It's a plug, but I'm comfortable working with electricty. I wired the 20'X30' detached garage in my previous home so I have some experience with that. Just not with plumbing[:I]0 -
