Remington UMC ammo

I went shooting tonight for the first time in a while and I had my mom pick up some ammunition but forgot to ask her to buy the regular cheapo box of Winchesters like usual, and she picked up some Remington UMCs in 9mm. These are the worst bullets I've ever fired. I could not believe how poor the quality was. I have thrown every kind of ammo imaginable at my Sig and it has eaten it up no problem, and then I try this stuff, and I kid you not, it jammed after every round fired. I was thinking it could just be the gun, so I tried the house rounds and had no problem whatsoever. Has anyone had similar experiences?

    I have shot cases of it in .223 9mm, .38, .357, .40, .44 Mag and .45 ACP over the years. It has always been consistant decent range ammo. It is also not a dirty as Winnchester white box.

    Agreed, as I said good range ammo....not for serious target shooting.
    One exception, I have used the .44 Mag for hunting whitetail. For whatever reason, my Colt Anaconda will group it around 2" at 50 yards

    I've never had a problem with the two or so cases of UMC I have used.

    Last box of Remingtons I bought jammed every other round in my Ortegies .32acp. Every other brand shoots fine in it.

    I just went through about 300 rounds of Remingto UMS in .223, not one problem.

    The old yellow box umc was some of the best I have ever shot. The new light green and white box ammo is not so great.

    used to use it at the range all the time...my Kimber was the only gun that didn't like it. My XD45 eats anything I throw at it. Now I reload so don;t buy the UMC anymore. My range will not allow Winchester white box to be used for some reason.

    That's strange. I guess I'll have to clean my gun vigorously and try the ammo out again at the range.
