It appears that there will soon be an opening in the bench of the Supreme Court. I believe the October time frame was mentioned.

I further believe that we should start right now in promoting someone who thinks as we do and will not promote the anti gun agenda.

Time to get up a petition to get Mateo nominated.

    What does it take to file an amicus brief with the court? And what exactly is an amicus brief, besides the opinion of somebody (or some group or institution) who has nothing to do with the case at hand? Which leads me to my next question: do they make a difference, or are they just a vehicle for show-boating?

    Saw where Court Judge sent the clerk in Kentucky that would not
    issue a happy marriage license due to religious beliefs,, to jail for
    contempt. I guess that cigarettes wanting to get married takes priority
    over first amendment freedom of religion.

    Will Obummer now try to push through getting a liberal judge in place before he leaves. With Hillary out his chances/plans of getting on the bench are nill.

    They only make a difference if someone on the court cares what you think.

    If you are someone important, the court will probably read it, and there is a chance it will convince them to vote a certain way

    I read an article in SGN.

    Yeah I know, some of you think there are no articles in SGN.

    I guess SGN is kind of like playboy in that regard.
    People don't buy it for the articles.

    Anyway, it mainly takes money. They charge to file an amicus brief.
