?? new LEO tactic?
Driving home tonight on the interstate, noticed two police cars had two other cars pulled over. Aware of their presence, watching speed limit, came upon another squad car on the shoulder. I signaled, moved over to the left lane and as I after I passed the squad car, signaled and returned to the right lane. In the rear view mirror, I noticed the police car pull onto the highway and speed up on my rear end and proceed to tail-gate me for about 30 seconds, then pulled over to the shoulder again. What was the point of this? Only thing comes to mind to check for expired tags. Anyone?

Pretty close but I-270 just east of 157. I recognized it as being an E'ville car. Finally a few replying to the original post. 0 -

pontoon beach does that allot, they're a little ambitious since the department earned 2.3 million dollars in a drug bust on that little strip back in 05, i see state along 255/64 in packs, in the summer time it's nothing to 6-8 motorcycle officer in a row, they also put up a sign right before 162 "drug enforcement agents ahead", then the dumb-asses who have drugs turn off real quick onto the off ramp, where if you do not have a legitimate excuse for being on that particular off ramp the dog "will hit" on your vehicle and your getting searched0 -
When I was in high school my friend and I were going into a convenience store and as we were walking through the parking lot 5 squad cars pulled in,cops jumped out with their guns drawn on my buddy and told him to lay face down as they searched him.Come to find out they were looking for a guy that had the same description for an armed robbery.
Nothing scarrier than having 7 or 8 cops appear out of the blue,screaming at you with guns drawn.0 -
I had a deputy write total lies about me on a police report. I wrote a letter to the newspaper, a letter to the sherrif, and paid a visit to the sherrif. None of these did any good.
I am not doing anything else but what goes around comes around and someday he will get whats he deserves. I just hope I am there to laugh at him.0 -

The boss gets elected and the boss doesn't care. I've written the boss (my county sheriff) several times. I am civil, polite, and respectful.

If you chose "Zero" or "None" you'd be 100% spot-on.
Now, in the last election, I had a choice to vote for this guy who doesn't give a crap or his Democratic opponent who clearly indicated it was wrong for private citizens to own guns. You can imagine what my choice was - take someone who had a strong 2nd Amendment stance but doesn't listen to me, or choose someone who has a strong anti-2nd Amendment stance and still won't listen to me because I'd be a nut because I owned guns.
I've made the following complaints:
1. My neighbor who refuses to register his Porsche and BMW. He keeps changing out 60-day tags because he's a car dealer. He's been unable to find a means to purchase license plates for two years.
2. His department's lack of clarity regarding my ability or lack thereof to use blanks to train my dog for hunting. I asked if someone could please provide me a clear answer as to whether it was legal or not.
3. The same deputy who almost daily cannot seem to wait for the red light by my house. This is a fairly quiet neighborhood and I refuse to believe he is responding to an emergency every day that doesn't require his sirens and lights.
4. Asking if we could have someone patrol our neighborhood at night when vandalism was getting out of control... you know, like the deputy above who is always responding to an emergency.
When I write my Congressman, Senators, or state representatives, I at least get a form letter thanking me for taking the time to contact them.
Spaniel Sells- You certainly sound like a high maintenance pain in the butt. It is arrogant and selfish of you to think that there are not real issues out there to be dealt with, or that he is dealing with. You mentioned that when you write your other elected officials they always at least write back in some form. Consider that MAYBE you want this guy to be a good cop first, and a politician second. Unbelievable.
Your neighbor won't register his Porsche?
Can you use blanks to train a dog?
You hear sirens and see lights too often?
How do you know your neighborhood is not already being patrolled?
I am not in law enforcement, but I wouldn't give you the time of day either. Let me know when you've got a thief full of holes in your kitchen, when your car gets stolen, or when your neighbor is beating his wife.
Reread your post and look at your "problems". Then get over yourself.0 -

wow i had that too, but in my car a few blocks away from the store, but the funny thing here is i know the owner of the store, i dated her daughter in high school, and they never called the police, the dog they ran around my car allegeledy hit on something, which of course give them the go ahead to strip out my wifes car on the side of the road only to come up empty handed
the dog is a very useful tool in illegal searches, he hits every time, if they find something he was right, if he don't you get to go on about your business feeling lucky you didn't get that bogus minor traffic violation
and then again 3 months later, i reminded the officer of the first incident, they stopped the search emedietly, apologised and generously let me out of that crossing the center line ticket which i did not do in the first place0
