prayer thread question?

but it got me thinking, since a person asks for a prayer is it offensive to you personally {everyone} when a non believer responds without a prayer?

i typically offer wishes, and well thoughts, so what does everyone think is a proper response or if a response should be given at all?

    what exactly would be an example of forcing? I say that I love Christ, is that an example of forcing?

    when you say it over and over and over again, obviously hoping to recruit people into your cult, obviously it is trying to force your beliefs on others

    Even if some says that "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the lie" I don't see that as forcing. I certainly don't want to force anything on anybody.

    you do think it would work. the "holy book" you praise says it would work, says to tell everybody, and that is in fact what you're doing. so again, you're a liar.

    Thats bull crap Bushmaster. I asked a question regarding what makes people feel like they are being force fed an idea. I was being sincere, if you don't believe that then there is nothing I can do to convince you. And another thing, I'm always nice to you. We see things differently, so therefore I'm the enemy? I'm attempting to respectfully discuss the issue here. No reason to be pissed off at me.

    I don't care how you treat me. I don't have much respect for you because of what you're doing right now.

    I can see why you would take exception to those three references. It was not an intentional attempt to convince you of anything. Just part of my daily vernacular. OK, I deleted that entire post, and beg your pardon. Lets start over with an open question. what exactly makes you feel like an idea, in this case "you know what" is being forced upon you?
    And as per your specifications, "you already forgot the parts you had to wedge in" we won't wedge anything in.

    ok let me make it clear that when i made this thread my original question was legitimate, i had no hidden agenda behind it, and as many other subjects here at gb it has went in a different direction, i myself didn't see where bush was going with it, now i do, but i bet most do not

    now bushmaster is playing devils advocate to the subject, and doing a very good job because people do not like what they are reading, and yes it is exactly what most do here in the name of god, as far as providing post that prove most of you are a bit forceful in your beliefs it will cause even more trouble, one it will be more like a personal attack, two most of you will not see it because it is YOUR way of life you can't help it, i for one have never ever asked any of you not to believe, i have even stated i admire your belief, and respect it, but i have never heard any of you treat my belief the same in even the slightest manner because you believe you are right and i am wrong

    like it or not Christians have a way of cramming their own beliefs down other peoples throats, and refuse to allow another to believe any different
