Man Stabbed in Buttock in Domestic Dispute

A 30-year-old Bremerton man was allegedly stabbed in the right buttock late Monday following a domestic dispute, according to Bremerton Police reports.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Walnut Street shortly after 10 p.m. The man was taken to Harrison Medical Center with a stab wound, and was treated and released.
The man told police that he and his girlfriend, 26, were having an argument and he told her he was going to Alabama with his family for the holidays. The man said the 26-year-old grabbed a steak knife and began chasing him. After he grabbed a coat to leave, he said the woman plunged "the knife into his right buttock," police reports said.
The man continued out the door and the woman allegedly threw pieces of the homes' Christmas tree at him, reports said.
The 26-year-old woman told police they'd been arguing about his trip when he punched her in the face, though the officer could not confirm the injury. She said he left the residence, but then kicked the door open, grabbed the steak knife and hit her in the palm with it. When she was able to get hold of the knife, he jumped over a couch and landed on it, she said.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and booked into the Kitsap County jail on $50,000 bail.
