What to do with years of American Rifleman?

I have stacks of old A.R.'s, a few going back to the late 50's and 60's and complete years for the most part since the 70's. I've advertised them locally and it seems like there's no interest. Don't want to throw them out. Anyone else had this situation? Interesting ideas on how to best dispose of them?

    most doctors offices sure could use some decent magazines.

    Leave them in the men's room in case they run out of toilet paper. Any publication from the NRA is going to be softer, any way. They've got my last dime.

    Find a place to store 'em.

    One year for Christmas, my wife bought me a big ol' stack of American Rifleman from the 60's and 70's. I still read them.

    Our gun club has American Rifleman all the way back to 53. Most are in protective binders by year.

    take them to an old folks home or retirement center, those older fellas sure like to read and look at them[;)][:D]

    Start calling libraries (both academic and city) and gun clubs to see if anybody wants them. I doubt you'll get much if any $$$ for them, but then you didn't say you were looking for $.

    how about a give-away . i would like to own some of the old mags and would like to have some .you could give them away a year at a time .just post and anyone interested could be tossed into a hat .

    I'm familiar with the problem. I have January 1966 to date. I guess I'll just keep stacking them up until I run out of basement or my Life Membership runs out.

    Put them on a Gunbroker auction, start them at a penny. Post back with the auction number. I'll bid on them.

    Thanks for all the replys. I'm partial to the idea of keeping them until my life membership runs out, but my wife and kids don't like that idea. It may take me a couple of weeks to "sort and inventory" so I can be accurate in my ads. Will post in the General Discussion section to let you know when they go in. Will start at a penny and give it, what 2 weeks?
    p.s. Also want to check with the p.o. to get an idea of how much it costs to send a years worth USPO.

    Libraries and nursing homes are both good ideas. Maybe the local American Legion?

    I took in a stack of "Shooting Times" to the high school I used to work at, put them in the lounge/reception area where people (including kids in the office for discipline) waited to see the various administrators. The principal mentioned that it was the first time he'd ever seen most of those kids voluntarily read, a comment that seriously hacked off an English teacher who happened to be in the vicinity. She didn't think gun magazines should be in a school to begin with, or that it should ever be admitted that people might enjoy that sort of reading more than a coma-inducing dose of Nathaniel Hawthorne or Jane Austin.

    You can use a USPS Priority mail box any weight anywhere for around 8.00 or 9.00 bucks Or you can stick a lot of them in a regular priority box for around 5.00

    They qualify for media mail. Supposed to be the cheapest rate.
