I noticed. I wish they did more than just explain with a picture. How much land goes with it, and things of that nature

thats why they are politicians...so they can keep getting richer and tell every other poor slob that they have to tighten their belts another notch!!! its not so much about what they get paid every week, its more about all the perks that go with the job!!...all politicians world wide are liars and thieves..the only difference between them and anyone else is that they make the laws so they make damned sure they protect themselves with legislation!![:(!]

They're all lawyers, ain't they? 'nuff said.
(BR, you'd make a good real estate agent.)
Obama's house looks like the smallest. I guess he doesn't have to compensate for any little thing. [;)]

Romney's house looks comfortable to me. The folks on the linked site seem to think that a three million dollar house is some sort of mansion. Maybe if you live in one of those big square states, but in areas like Southern California $1 million will buy you a nice house, but nothing like a palace. I live in Newport Beach and you'd be lucky to even find a place to live (a small condo) for a million bucks.

This was just their main residence most of them have 2 homes. Willard Romney has one in New Hampshire too for sure.

I was wonder how much acreage went with the huckabee home? Realestate varies so much from state to state.

I guess I have a difficult time getting upset about this. If they have money, where would you like them to live, in a trailer park?

+1 I never had any illusions they were "the common man" or lived like the rest of us. If I were rich I'd add guest quarters over the garage too.

    spaniel...

What gets me and a lot of other ppl is they all have money, every single one of them...they all have big homes, more than 1 home for most of them...YET they all say they are for the common man, will cut taxes etc, will do this and that for the working person...

None of them know what its like to not have money...If I remember right, (could be wrong) they were all born into money, so they have never had to work for anything yet they say they are for the working class?...wonder how they would like to live on 2 grand a month?..or on 560 some odd on SSI disability?...They wouldnt have a clue...

Rudy G's old man was an Italian immigrant and ex-con who was unemployed most of the time. McCain, who's father (and grandfather were admirals) was a Navy brat who spent most of his childhood on Navy bases. Hillary's father Hugh Rodom ran a small and modestly sucessful textile business. Not exactly people born to means IMHO. In fact those three parents seem more like a slice of real Americana to me: Immigrant working folks, a military family and a small business owner. The fact that their kids made it big just shows how far you can go in this country if you apply yourself (I did and I don't gripe about much). The problem is that most people don't even bother to try and better themselves (like going to school and getting a degree) but they sit back and cry their eyes out when they see well off people living in what they consider fancy houses and driving expensive cars.

You are correct Old Round One. If I had the money, I would build on to the chicken coop. Spread the wealth I always say. Don

inherited money is not the same as self made money, its easy to say look at me when it was given to you, but i often wonder what those folks would have if they started from nothing

    +1 I agree.

Of course there is Preston Bush, father of George H.W. Bush and grandfather of George W. Bush.

    Plus the Kennedy Clan.

Hypocrites!!! Just plain liars and hypocrites!!! Non of them have plans to help the poor and middle class, they just want to accumulate more wealth and leave us behind to become socialist slaves to their government entitlements so we will have no choice but to depend on them for survival. America ... STAND UP before its too late!!!!

Chris, I find this VERY telling, and I would really like to see his home, to see if it follows along the lines of how he talks, or not. I'm betting he has a modest home, but would really like to know if that is not the case.

Yes, it could. Either enforce it, or create doubt where there is none.

I heard Old Huckabee was living in a trailer when he was a minister. He must've grown tired of living in close quarters.

Most of them if not all would commit suicide if they had to live like we do.[B)]

They're all rich, yes. So what?

Your average American cannot afford to run for POTUS. You have to take off two years of your life just to campaign.

Can YOU afford to do it? I can't.

Question is: How many of them were living at this level before they went into politics? If their political career led them to this level of living, I don't understand the concept of "public service". Elected officials make good money by ordinary standards, but not enough to live at these levels.

On second thought - maybe their sub-prime adjustable rate mortgages are coming due... I withdraw my cynical thoughts for any who are evicted for failing to make their housed payment.

    chris..

All I can find is he lives in Lake Jackson Texas, and his wife Carole has a my space page....My space freezes me when I go there so if someone wants to see what they can find on him there, go for it...

There are a lot of pics of him on the web, not much of his kids/wife/grandkids and so far none of his home...I typed in everything I can think of to get to it and nothing...

Last one I typed was Pictures of Ron Paul's home in Lake Jackson Texas...that got me the my space page of Carole
