I'm thinking about refinancing my home, pay off some other bills and get some remodeling projects finished.
Really, a good rate and low or no closing costs is about as good as it gets, isn't it?
Talked to Countrywide. Bout as good a deal as any. Anybody have any experience with them?

  Refinanced with Countrywide a few years ago. Fixed at 5-1/4%. Never had any problems with them except they will "bug you" to borrow more and more money from them.

  CountryWide is generally disliked. Supposedly their customer service is getting better though. I would have a look at Wells Fargo. You could look for 5.75% on 30 year fixed as of today. Proving of course you meet all the criteria.

  I deal with both in my biz... I would say Countrywide over Wells Fargo.. but I would also look at ERA, Coldwell Banker and Merrill Lynch.
