    It is just a rumor.

    rumor in a way.... cell phones are already public...have been for a few years you can even do a reverse search on cell numbers in some markets.

    True or not, I've received 2 telemarketing calls this week from companies I have never done business with. My wife has received 3. We both re-registered. > B.O.B.

    Take it up with the company texting you and tell them to stop immediately. Then take the bill up with your cell phone company and tell them you did not approve, and did not know, that this company had your number and will not pay for the received texts.
