My day yesteday

Was very good, spent almost 4 hours at the range. My colt HBAR upper is awesome! That thing is deadly accurate. However my Bushmaster upper isnt very accurate, when i got it, the front sight was all the way up, had to turn it at least 15 times to get on the paper, still having trouble with it, but 2morrow, will test it again, and maybe give her a couple more turns lower, she just doesnt want to shoot straight.

Im shooting 55gr Remington UMC, Both barrels are 1/9 twist, whats te optimal bullet weight for this twist, any one know?

    Always remember the worst day at the range is better than the best day at work!.... I cannot wait for my range to open March 1st... I have no clue why but they are closed jan and feb. But for 24 bucks a year I cannot complain too much!

    55gn bullets should be fine. i have always had good exp. with "heavier" bullets in AR's.

    Thanks, i wanted to try two different weights, side by side, to see if there was a difference, but know one has anything besides 55gr. Ive got some 75gr TAP ammo, but i think theyre to heavy for a 1/9.

    Nothing beats a good time at the range. I have had good results with the 55 grainers out of my AR too. Have gotten much range time in with it because I have either been too busy or it's been too dang cold here. Oh well, gotta love WI.[:D]

    Actually the best part was watching my younger brother nail the Bullseye, i Sighted him in more than i shot, it was a god day, love to see him do good.

    yep,when ever you type Florida, SUNNY has to be in all caps somewhere around the word Florida. Whats it like in WA?

    What handload meant to say is that it's RAINY in Washington. And it's safe to say that it usually will be RAINY or at least CLOUDY in Washington.
