Would you go to this exhibit.....check this out!
I saw a billboard the other day....and I thought...."nu-uh...was that for real? These sorts of things just aren't normal. Not as a display you go see for a fun afternoon with the kids.

I have seen it. Very amazing. Shows the entire human body and even a horse. I mean the ENTIRE human body. Sqweemish or prudes might steer clear. 0 -

We went to the "Bodies" exhibit in San Diego when we were out there over Christmas. Our daughter, a nurse, wanted to go, so we went. I didn't think I would care for it, but it was very worth while and I'd sure recommend it. 0 -
I think my girls would go....but my son still is freaked out because of a scary movie he saw about a month ago. That would put him back in our bed every night for months.
I think it would be cool to see. When you saw it did it smell? I would imagine it would be like the 9th grade frog disection day.0 -

No smell. It is not a formaldehyde situation. It's like the parts are plasticized in some way. Ya know, like when you go to a deli and they have permanent plates of food as displays?
I recommend it. It is fairly tastefully done. One way or another it will interest all attending.0 -
That exhibit was on display here, and I wouldn't go see it. IMNSHO, that is a pretty undignified way to treat a human body. 0 -
An odd memory of mine that involves formaldehyde was our sheep eye-ball days in Locust Fork high. First...here were frogs...and later when we studied the parts of the eye we got sheep's eyes to study. When the retina is removed it was like a yellow-ish clear ball. People were bouncing them all over the hall to freak people out. It was funny....and gross. 0 -
I think a scene of the last James Bond movie showed this display. 0 -
They were having some kind of encounter with a bady guy and this kind of display was in the background. It's not the focus of the scene. It might be a good movie to rent and see how the boy reacts.
It's not an attention grabber. For me it was more of a distraction. I wasn't following the story line but more curious what the "art" display actually was. As the director bounces from one camera to the next, following the characters, it's difficult to focus on the background.0 -

I love science and anything about it...the human body is, I cant even think of the word I want to use, totally fascinating doesnt even cover it...
The muscles, tendons, bones, my gosh to see and understand the working together, how they fit together, how can anyone be grossed out by it?...
I have disected frogs, snakes, lizards, toads, birds, cats, dogs, human body, etc and I loved every minute of it...I couldnt get enough of it...To see how the parts fit together, strip them off and see how the bones are connected, my god you couldnt ask for anything better...
and no its not morbid or yucky nor do I have a fascination with death or body parts, but I have a fascination for science...0 -

I went to see it with my 14 year old daughter. She was more freaked out over the horse than she was the human bodies. I thought it was tactfully done and very interesting. I'd go see it again,

I saw it in Minnesota a while back. It's tastefully done: as proof I offer that even the Jr. High kids who were there that day weren't being squirrelly about it (neither freaked out nor inappropriate).

I've been to a real autopsy and saw them working on a guy who brought a knife to a gunfight with 2 sheriff deputies with shotguns--you can guess the condition of the body. So I think I could handle that show-looks cool. 0 -
Won't go see it for lots of reasons. The main one is that the people who put this thing together essentially stole the bodies. Not only no respect for the human body, no concept of honor either. Just a bunch of money grubbing azzholes who are willing to do anything for a buck! 0 -

I saw that exhibit in 1956, I was impressed. They also had an exhibit of ancient skulls that had been sliced open with flint to let out the evil spirits. Some of the skulls had evidence of healing, showing that their surgeon/witch doctors were sometimes successful.0 -
I have heard it is very good. A group from work went when it was here. I was out of town, so did not go, but i would have enjoyed the tour.
When i was going through college getting my wildlife degrees, our university curriculum dictated that the wildlife majors had to take comparative vertebrate anatomy right along with the medical school students. It was some of the best education i received - and entertaining. Can you imagine 4-5 outdoorsy wildlife guys in a lab with 30 highly competative medical school students? We never let up on them....0 -
We went to the "Bodies" Exhibit at MOSI in Tampa and it was very worth while. I enjoyed and and really learned many things about the human body. It is done very well and does not treat the bodies with disrespect. The Exhibit is now in Sarasota and we are considering going again. 0 -

No they didn't! They did a documentary on the German doctor who came up with this process on the Discovery Channel. (Might have been History Channel, can't quite recall) If you go to his companies website, they explain the process they go through to get the bodies. Nothing "stolen" about them! "Cool" might not be the right word, but I see nothing wrong with what he is doing.0 -
It has been on TV. I don't remember the channel. I don't see the advantage of using human bodies vice plastic though. 0 -
