Netflix users, I have a question.

I joined Netflix after getting some good reviews of it here.

I have been very happy with everything. Been watching tons of movies and actually like to get the mail now.




Here is my question.

Pirates of the Carribean - At Worlds End has been at the top of my queue for sometime, just waiting until it was available. Got my email today saying that it was the next one to be sent.

Yea! But then I got a followup email saying that it was not available at my local distribution center and they are now shipping it from ............. Salem Oregon. I live in Maine, very eastern Maine. Is this a new tactic of Netflix to slow the fast users of the service? One would think that it would be available somewhere closer than Oregon.

I would rather have waited until it was available locally and mail me one of my other queued movies.

    No we never had that happen to us and were lucky we have a distribution point right in our town. I would sure let them know about the problem, we watched movies about everynight in the winter.

    Never had this problem. DC is 30 miles away.

    I got one of those this week after reporting a disk would not work. Coming from someplace south of Brownsville Texas...didn't know there was Texas South of Brownsville TX? I wish more folks would report bad disks, would improve the viewing. Pretty happy with Netflix all around.

    I have ANYDVD and CLONEDVD2 and I have found nothing it can't copy.

    I have had a couple sent from somewhere other than the local distribution center, but they were not new releases that they owned many copies of.

    We get many sitcoms. My wife watches them ion the morning on the treadmill or when there is nothing else on.

    i have had them do that quit often. i live in forman nd and they usally send from fargo nd about 60 miles away. every once in awhile then send from the twin citys usally takes a extra day to get but still faster then waiting.

    I have clonedvd. I have to first rip them with DVD decrypt then use Clonedvd. I didnt know it could Rip them and write them, Am I using the program wrong?


    DVD decrypt cant RIP most of the newer ones [:(]

    I've had Netflix ship me movies from Portland Or, Seattle, Salt Lake, Sacramento, Phoenix, Dallas, Denver, Oaklahoma City, and am now waiting on one from................Lakeland Florida!
