So would this be a suitable CCW for my wife? Does anyone here have experience with this revolver? I was thinking of a Belly Band for it.

  I carry a S&W 340 Sc Airlite now and then.
  
  In it's so designed .357 Magnum 158 gr. full loads, recoil is absolutely brutal.
  
  Definitely, not a girlie gun.

  The recoil of the Airweights is just obscene. I would think that any lady would really dislike shooting that pistol.
  
  For your wife I would go with a model 36, 37, or 60. 38 Special with
  110 Gr. Low Recoil HydraShoks. 1000 fps. at the muzzle and 245 ft. lbs.
