i just steped outside on the sunny side of the house and it was 64 degrees in the sun. looked out the window on the shady side and it was only 34 degrees. no wonder the dog is in her box

  The heat of the sun is amazing. A few years ago I was working outside and it was -5 degrees and no wind. As I walk around to a sunny corner near a house there was a blue poly tarp draped over some law chairs with a little pool of water surounding a small chunk of ice. Despite being -5 the sun was producing enough heat replecting of the walls of the house and onto that tarp to melt the ice.
