Allegedly there is a kid in college ball at this very time who switch pitches. Rumor has it that he is good enough to possibly make it to the draft.

Rules question: once a switch-hitter steps into the batters box, or a switch pitcher steps on the mound, are they allowed to change from right to left at anytime during the inning, or during the at-bat, or during the game? Or are they required [by rules] to continue with what they started with? Thanks, Joe

I wondered that myself when I heard about this college kid that we may someday see in the big leagues. Not sure what the rules might be. I was too lazy to look it up.

There is no rule against switch-pitching.

Had a guy I played baseball with in high school, the coach used to brag on..."He can throw 100mph, 50 left and 50 right!"
