I used to work with this guy
Until he was killed. He was a polite old man about to retire. I used to give him a hard time, and he did the same. It's a real bummer.

YAKIMA -- Yakima police say a trail left by a murder suspect led them to his quick arrest at a motel just hours after they'd discovered the body of his alleged victim.
Police arrested 50-year-old Mark Huey at a Yakima motel on N. 1st around 4 p.m., the same day they'd found Charlie Palmer murdered inside his Yakima home.
Police believe the two men were acquaintances and had gotten into an argument on December 31st before Palmer ended up dead.
Detectives had called the 62-year-old victim's death a "violent" one. He was found in his bedroom, with a stab wound to the back of his hand and his hands and feet tied up, according to police.
A knife was still lodged in the victim's head, said investigators. Palmer's autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Police say the victim's SUV led them straight to Huey. The suspect had allegedly stolen the victim's vehicle and left it with people at a house on N. 32nd Ave., which is just a couple minutes away from Palmer's home. It's not clear if Huey knew the people.
They were questioned, and police arrested Huey at the motel just a few hours later.
"He hadn't been to work for two days and that was unlike him," said Palmer's sister, Yvonne Webb.
Police got to her brother's Yakima home before she could.
"It'll hit me, it'll hit me I'm sure," said Webb.
Police went to Palmer's home to check on him after his boss called Wednesday morning to say he hadn't shown up to work. His newspapers had piled up since Monday.
"I can't imagine him having any enemies, he seemed too nice," said neighbor Joyce Tabor.
But more pressing is why anyone would kill Palmer.
Neighbors in the quiet cul-de-sac said he was single and kept to himself.
Police say he lived in the same house for nearly a decade.
"I never saw cars over there," said Bess Miller, who lived across from the victim. "He just was a loner period, as far as I know."
"A very gracious person, compassionate person, very good brother," Webb said.
Huey is expected to be charged with first degree murder.
