Terrorism with the Upcoming Election
I haven't heard any speculation about it yet, but I've been wondering about any potential terrorism with the intent on influencing the election or inaurgination. Terrorists influenced Spain's election. COuld they influence ours?
I think if O'bama were to be elected, a Mogadishu style attack after he was in office would cause O'bama to bring troops home immediately.
Is there any scenario for an act of terrorism before the general election help the democrats, or just McCain/Romney?

Al Queda knows not to piss everbody in the US off with an attack here (if they could)'cause the citizens would vote accordingly -- and the results could be worse on them than Bush.

I honestly don't think another high-profile attack is within Al Qaeda's best interests.
The last time they pulled off something huge, they got bombed darn near to oblivion for their troubles.
If anything, like the military-industrial complex, the terrorists benefit from a low-level war with no end in sight. So long as we stay in Iraq, they have someone to blame for all their troubles and a convenient recruiting tool to use. They don't want the war to end any more than many American corporate/government types do - victory means actually having to work for a living for these sand-eating screwheads and Allah forbid they have to do that!0 -
All it took was Blackhawk getting shot down for Bill Clinton to pull all support out of Sudan. In the meantime, bin Laden set up camp there. I don't think it would take much for some of these President Wanna-bees to give up on Iraq. 0 -

All Al Qaeda has to do is stay in the news and keep our toops over
seas and they can call themselves the winners. Doesn't matter how
many of them get taken out because in thier minds they're standing
up to the evil United States. I agree with EMM - they don't need any
high profile attack. Just the thought that maybe they might do some-

this time around america wont have any place to bomb though. the terrorists will be from somewhere in europe or suadia arabia. we wont go bombing those areas. we will have to send the FBI to "investigate" and then maybe get an "indictment" and then we can try the terrorists in US criminal courts in a trial that will last 17 years and end in a hung jury....because thats the way liberals like it
