I just left a friends house. I went to show him my new chain saw. Being Sun. night I thought that his wife wouldn't be home for a while so I parked in her spot in the driveway.
Well, we talked for a while and I saw headlights coming up his drive. I asked "she's not home yet is she?" And since the Illini play tonight she came home early. I apologized to her for parking in her spot and left. I backed out to the open spot on the rocks and proceeded out the drive. I heard one very bad sound. They have a huge rock on the curve. With the size of my truck and the crappy mirrors I didn't see it.
I now have a nice crease between the back door and the rear tire. And the scratches start at the back door of my truck.
I've only put 6000 miles on it and it for sure is just a truck now. I would like to get it fixed but I know it will cost a fortune. I might get estimates but I can't see turning it in to insurance.
By the way, an hour before that I stopped by another buddy's house who, doesn't have any dogs and lives in the country, and stepped in dog poop. Apparently not my night.

Pretty much what I have done. My luck tonight is just bad.

I can't see using my insurance for something stupid that I did. I keep my deductible for collision at $500. My liabilaty is at $100. But any thing you turn in is going to raise the rates. I will call them but I believe that since I hit the rock it will be at the $500 rate. I will just have to see what pans out.0 -
Hey Chief I see you hit 1000 posts how about a giveaway for the truck. I'm sure there are body experts here...just kidding , sorry about your truck[:(] 0 -
Don't feel too bad, yesterday I turned to the right (4 lane road) and I guess the car coming didn't see my car behind the SUV turning left, so when I got out into the road they changed lanes into me.. [B)] Doesn't make much sense to me how it happened... but it did[8)] 0 -

That sucks.
What did he think of your chain saw?0 -
How did you know it was dog poop? 0 -
For the truck buy the stuff the advertise on TV to fix any color paint just by rubbing it on and buffering it by hand. As for the dog crap well""" maybe you can wash it off with a water hose after you fix the paint on your truck.[;)] 0 -
That is around a $750 repair from the way you describe it. 0
