Authorities at the scene declined to give details on the incident, but cordoned off the strip mall area, waving would-be shoppers by as they approached entrances Saturday afternoon.
Tracy Caccavella was shopping at a Pet Smart store late Saturday morning across the parking lot from the Lane Bryant when she saw police enter the pet supply store.
"Six police entered the store with their hands on their gun holsters," Caccavella said.
Police conducted a thorough search and left, she said.
As I say every time, this could not have happened because people aren't allowed to have guns in Chicago. Shootings do NOT occur in gun-free zones.

So the law abiding citizens are armed with their quick wit & feet. The perps are armed with anything they want. Doesn't old Chuck know that his finest can't "protect" the citizens. Dispite the old adage, the police (for the most part) respond - not protect.
Perhaps Chuck should consider paying-off all the bad guys in Chi. That's something that he and his family does well.0 -
