Do any of you guys live near Henderson, NV???

My brother is looking at buying a car off of ebay down there and i offered to go down with him and drive it back.

But, I'd rather have one of you guys look at it first before i make the long haul down there.... I'd hate to get down there and find out its a peice of junk[:(!]

    Ebay has an inspection service and will inspect the vehicle for buyers.

    That is a beautiful car.
    A '79 Sting Ray with only 36,000 miles. That seems fishy but could be for real.
    Why not check it out on carfax? I think it is $25.

    Go to corvetteforum.com and go to the Events/Regional forum for that area. I think it is the SW forum. Make a post as you did here asking for someone to check out the car. You will have someone knowledgeable in corvettes willing to give it a look. I have purchased a few corvettes long distance and this has worked for me. I have been a member of corvetteforum for a few years and just like here it is a good group of people. Let me know if you join and make a post and I will join in on the thread.

    Note: most cars in that area come from the gulf states. (flooded)
    Check under the dash for mud, look at the fuse box for rust, and check the exhast manafold for corrosion. Run the vehicle NO. and see where it came from.

    Thanks for the info guys.... I e-mailed the seller last night asking for pics of the undercarriage and this was his reponce,

    This is a MAJOR red flag to me... First seller i have ever had that hasn't been more than willing to supply me with pics of the undercarriage.

    It don't really sound fishy to me. Just sounds like he don't want
    to jack around on a decent car sale...but that's just me.
